My mother married for the first time when she was pretty young. It was something she was not very proud of. Her first husbands name was Jake. The marriage lasted all of about a month and she went back home to her momma. Later she married a man named Samuel Mimms. From what I gather he came from a pretty well to do family. At least of more means that Mommas family was. They lasted for a little while. She found out she was expecting and lost a set of twins. She and Samuel soon separated and divorced. When she was about sixteen she married for the third time to a man named Kenneth Ray. They were married 11 July 1945. They divorced a little over a year later. Kenneth was in the Navy and Military life was too hard on their marriage so Momma said. She married my father Floyd Junior Eads on 2 December, 1950 in Piggott, Clay, Arkansas.

Church....
My father was an ordained Minister and he pastored several Pentecostal Churches in Southeast Missouri in the 1960`s through the early 1980`s before his health declined and he was not able to pastor any more. My Mother loved to attend church and was faithful at supporting her home church through tithes and offerings. She worked in the church doing everything from being a pastors wife to cooking, cleaning and teaching Sunday School. She had a devout faith in God and never missed a service until she became too ill to attend. She was a very loving and Giving Person. She would give the last penny she had to someone if she thought they needed it more than she did. She loved her children and her grandchildren with all her heart. She could often be heard calling their names in prayer.
